I am Board Certified in Adult Neurology by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABNP) and Headache Medicine by the United Council for Neurological Subspecialties (UCNS).

I am one of a few certified headache specialists in the country and one of even fewer neurologists with interest in integrative health.

I was truly trained across the globe and completed neurology residency twice in two hemispheres - first in my home country of Georgia, and then in the US. I completed Neurology Residency and Fellowship in Headache and Facial Pain at the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL. I was trained and then worked in a tertiary care Headache Center at Tampa General Hospital.

Prior to that, I completed Thrombosis Vascular Training Fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN and Postdoctoral Fellowship from the American Heart Association at the University of Louisville, KY.

I hold PhD in Medical Science and Biochemistry and worked as an Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Central Florida.

During my tenure at Orlando VA I established Headache Center of Excellence - Consortium site of the National Headache Centers of Excellence.

I have numerous publications and presentations at the scientific meetings nationally and internationally, and I am an active member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and American Headache Society (AHS).
